Single Brood Box Management
Parker & Kennedy Bowman from Double B Apiary will be our speakers. They will discuss a single brood box management system has many benefits from which backyard beekeepers can benefit. Less equipment to purchase, easier inspections and a quicker journey to your first honey harvest just to name a few. Follow along with us for an insight into how we manage our single brood bee hive boxes over the course of a year at Double B Apiary.

Meet the Women Behind Double B Apiary
What started as an overgrown family garden has transformed into a thriving business for two young entrepreneurs. The 2 sisters, Parker & Kennedy Bowman have learned to love the art of beekeeping and have built up their Apiary business to manage approximately 200 hives as well as provide nucs, queens, education and honey to their customers throughout central North Carolina.

Parker is currently a Senior at Wake Forest High School and is on both the Varsity golf and Varsity Swim Teams. She is the Vice President the FFA Conference Federation and on her FFA chapters competition team. Additionally, Parker is Secretary of the National Honor Society Board all while maintaining straight A’s throughout her high school career.

Kennedy is a freshman at Wake Forest High School and is a member of the Varsity Golf Team and Captain of her Club Soccer Team. She was a National Junior Honor Society Member and an elected Ambassador for her school.
