Nancy Ruppert: State Apiary Inspector
Topic: Honey Bee Nutrition
Nancy has been an apiary inspector for the NC Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services since August of 2010, covering 19 counties in south-central/southeastern North Carolina. She has been active in beekeeping for 13 years where she lives in Montgomery County. Nancy has been a registered nurse since the 1980’s, and worked almost 20 years as a family nurse practitioner before changing to a less stressful occupation. Her particular apiary interests include hive pests and diseases, honey bee nutrition, and reducing honey bee stress.
